Compliance & Credentials

IKECA Standards, Applied in East Tennessee

International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA) member logo

Kitchen Guard of East Tennessee works to a published standard rather than a company opinion. Kitchen Guard holds corporate membership in the International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association — the ANSI-accredited standards developer for this trade — and our crews clean to ANSI/IKECA C10-2021, the consensus standard for how commercial kitchen exhaust systems are cleaned.

Technicians are trained by instructors who hold the Certified Exhaust Cleaning Specialist (CECS) credential from IKECA. Every visit in East Tennessee leaves you with dated documentation and photographs you can hand to an inspector or an insurer. Read how NFPA 96 and the ANSI/IKECA standards fit together.

Keeping Commercial Kitchens Safe, Compliant, and Open

Full Ventilation System Cleaning & Maintenance

Hood Cleaning

Hood Cleaning

Most exhaust fires don’t start in the hood you can see. They start in the duct runs and roof fans a partial cleaning never touched — and a partial cleaning is also what fails you when the fire marshal opens an access panel. We clean the entire system, from the canopy through the full ducting network to the fans on the roof, with commercial-grade pressure washing equipment, to the NFPA 96 standard East Tennessee inspectors enforce. This is our core competency, and we do it correctly the first time. When we’re done, you get before-and-after photos and the documentation you need on file for compliance — proof of the work, not just an invoice. Read more about our commercial hood cleaning in Knoxville and Chattanooga.

Getting Ready to Blast_Back

Safe, Code-Compliant Kitchens for Every Industry in East Tennessee

From drive-thrus on Lee Highway to hospital tray lines and stadium concourses, our Chattanooga-based crews clean, photograph, and certify exhaust systems to NFPA 96 across Hamilton, Bradley, Knox, and the Tri-Cities. See how all four services fit together.

Restaurant

Restaurants

One location or twenty, the exposure is the same: grease, fire code, and an inspection date you didn’t pick. We clean everything from Southside and Northshore dining rooms to drive-thrus on Lee Highway and Keith Street in Cleveland, scheduling around your service times — early mornings, Mondays, whatever keeps the line moving. Every visit ends with before-and-after photos and a service sticker your inspector can read at a glance.

Corporate-Cafeteria

Corporate Cafeterias

A cafeteria outage ripples through the whole building. We service corporate dining operations around the Chattanooga riverfront, the Enterprise South corridor, and Knoxville’s Pellissippi business parks — cleaning to NFPA 96 on off-hours schedules so the servery opens on time. Facilities managers get the same photo documentation and compliance certificate we hand every client, ready for the next EHS audit.

Sports-Venues

Sports Venues

Concession kitchens run hard in short bursts and answer to the same fire code as any restaurant. Between minor league homestands, Mocs games at Finley Stadium, and fall Saturdays up I-75 in Knoxville, we work the gaps in the calendar — cleaning hoods, ducts, and fans to bare metal before the next gate opens, then documenting it for the venue’s fire marshal file.

Hospital-Kitchen

Hospitals &
Assisted Living

These kitchens can’t close, and their inspections carry higher stakes. We clean hospital, rehab, and senior living kitchens across Hamilton, Bradley, and Knox counties on schedules built around continuous meal service — night crews, full containment, no interruption to tray line. Our reports are written to hold up under Joint Commission and state survey review, not just a quick glance.

Educational-Institution

Educational Institutions

Campus dining halls and school cafeterias feed hundreds a day under public scrutiny. We work with K-12 districts and colleges around Chattanooga, Cleveland, and Knoxville, using summer break, fall break, and after-hours windows to clean full exhaust systems, swap worn filters, and hand over documentation that stands up in a board meeting or a public records request.

Hotel-Kitchen

Hotels & Hospitality

Chattanooga’s tourism corridor never slows down — and neither do the kitchens behind it. We already service properties like the Chattanoogan Hotel Curio and the historic Choo Choo Hotel, and we know what downtown hotel kitchens are up against: breakfast lines running 365 days a year, banquet kitchens surging for conventions and Riverfront events, and inspections that don’t care about occupancy rates. From boutique properties on the Northshore to conference hotels in Knoxville and the Tri-Cities, we keep hospitality kitchens cleaned, documented, and open for every check-in.
