Kitchen Guard’s Fan Maintenance Program is a comprehensive quarterly service plan designed to keep your kitchen exhaust fan running smoothly and efficiently—all for just $110 per fan per month (*price may vary by store).

What’s Included?

• Quarterly Service performed by trained technicians
• Coverage for the motor, belts, and bearings
• Lifetime Warranty on covered parts (effective after 30 days in the program)

Each Quarterly Visit Includes:

• Lubrication of Zerk fittings on motors and bearings
• Cleaning of the motor casing to improve heat dissipation
• Fan belt replacement as needed (at least every 6 months)
• AMP draw measurement to ensure electrical load is within safe specifications and to verify that the motor is operating correctly per manufacturer specifications

If a motor is found to be operating outside of manufacturer specifications, we will recommend a replacement motor as a scheduled repair (under warranty) to prevent failure—saving both your Friday night dinner rush and the cost of an emergency service call.

Warranty Details:

• Both labor and parts are covered for warranty replacements
• If a replacement motor exceeds $400, you only pay the difference

If the fan has repeated failures, corroded components, or is no longer available for parts, replacement is often more economical long-term. Either way, we only use UL-listed components and will never recommend a replacement you don’t need.

Most standard repairs—belt replacements, hinge kit installations, access panel swaps—are completed in a single visit of 1–3 hours. Emergency fan replacements typically take 2–4 hours depending on parts availability. Compliance repairs that require ordering custom components may take 1–3 business days from assessment to completion. Kitchen Guard will give you a clear timeline before any work begins so you can plan around your kitchen schedule.

Yes. After every repair visit, Kitchen Guard provides a written service record documenting what was assessed, what was repaired or installed, and which NFPA 96 requirements were addressed. This documentation is important for Broward County Fire Marshal inspections, Florida DBPR licensing inspections, and your commercial property insurance records.

Kitchen Guard provides 24/7 emergency repair services for malfunctioning exhaust fans and critical system failures. Our technicians are dispatched as quickly as possible to minimize downtime. For non-emergency repairs and compliance work, we typically schedule within a few business days depending on your location in SE Florida.

A hinge kit allows the rooftop exhaust fan to swing open on a hinge for safe cleaning and maintenance access, rather than requiring full fan removal. NFPA 96 requires that exhaust fans be accessible for cleaning.
