Owner

Seth has an amazing life story that began internationally while growing up in Europe before returning to the US for middle and high school. “Looking back, I’ve dabbled in a lot of different roles, and that experience sets me up well for business ownership,” he says. Coming from a family of engineers, Seth graduated from the United States Military Academy (West Point, NY) with a degree in chemical engineering and a minor in terrorism and counterterrorism operations. Fluent in German, he particularly enjoyed his semester training and studying at the Austrian Military Academy. After graduating, Seth was commissioned in the US Army and served five years as an Engineer Officer, where he led a platoon of 22 talented soldiers prepared to deploy anywhere in the world within 96 hours. Unsurprisingly, he deployed to Afghanistan for nearly a year with the primary mission of route clearance – ensuring that roads are free of roadside bombs – as well as coordination with the German-led civil and military engineering missions.After the military, Seth focused on his professional civilian life first at USAA, where he quickly found out about software product management and fell in love with that career path (and earned an MBA in finance), and subsequently at Housecall Pro, a software platform that helps home services businesses manage their operations.“I get bored easily, especially when things move too slowly,” he said. “I want to go fast. That’s why I’ve always been interested in small business ownership. It’s always been in my blood to work for myself. At the same time, the product person in me loves solving problems for customers, and I want to stay as close to that as possible.”With support from his wife and 3 children, Seth will likely never get bored again with business ownership!
